Advocacy

The arts are fundamental to every human. Children posses an intrinsic propensity for the arts, which is a core strength they bring to the classroom. Children whose curiosity, ingenuity, capacity to learn, adapt, and evolve, much like a scientist, should be valued, supported, and grown.

The arts, when done well, is one positive subjective and psychological intervention that serves as a form of inoculation to life’s challenges all children will encounter. The task is to help them realize they possess the requisite skill set to overcome hurdles. Better yet, provide the opportunity to expand and nurture an experience that brings joy and well-being. For those of you wishing to better understand why the arts are not just seen as humanistic, the arts are at the root of innovation, national security, and economics.
